SHANNON RIVER BOAT HIRE

We have just returned from a week cruising on the Shannon on the Fermanagh class. The boat was beautifully equipped- linen, towels, kitchen equipment etc were of the highest quality and we had everything we needed. Carrickcraft’s staff were great and the customer service we received was second to none. They provided tutorials, driving lesson, detailed map which allowed 3 generations of our family to spend time together on a fab adventure. We had the best time and made life long memories. I can definitely recommend using Carrickcraft and we will do it again soon.

It’s wonderful to be back on the water once again with Carrickcraft, after an enforced break. We were greeted and made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff at Bellanaleck who were most helpful and obliging.  They are available to give comprehensive demonstrations, where required.  A great deal of very useful information is available on net. Since our last visit Carrickcraft have added four additional types of boat at Bellanaleck, the Tyrone, Limerick, Leitrim Sixto and the Linssen.  We hired the Linssen this time and were very impressed with the craft. Very comfortable for two, with en-suite bedrooms at the bow and stern, each with a separate shower, although it can sleep up to six.  On site The Moorings Restaurant has reopened under new management. Excellent food and good craic. The Sunday BBQ is very reasonably priced and delicious.

We had the most amazing time. I was a little apprehensive heading off on my own with the children. With an age range from 10years to 18 there was a chance there would be a lot of squabbling. The cruise was exactly what a family like ours needs. We had a comprehensive tutorial from the staff at Carrickcraft before heading off so we were set up for success on that front. The nature of the activity meant that everyone had a job, whether it was charting the course, steering the craft, refilling when we docked, manning the locks. Everyone was kept so busy there was no time for fighting!!! My 16year old told me she felt her frontal lobe grow!! Lol. My 18 year old give me a long lasting hug and thanked me for such a great time. Something he hasn’t done since he was 12. I got strict instructions to book again and this time for longer. The staff at Carrick Craft were amazing. If I had their names I would cheer them personally, the girls at the desk, the men on the marina, the house keeping ladies who looked after the boat when we returned all fantastic!!!  We will definitely be back!

I would like to extend a huge congratulations to you and your team for making our first ever boating weekend a huge success.  From Jenny at the desk for her very warm and knowledgeable welcome, you made us feel very prepared for taking the cruiser out and Padraig and his excellent skill and instruction which enabled us to take our first boat out ourselves.  The navigation of the water ways and lough where well explained, so too the suggested stops along the way.  We had an absolute ball of a time and look forward to booking with you again next year.

This was an excellent family holiday. The boat was much bigger than we had expected and had everything necessary for an enjoyable trip. The guidance videos and handover from the team had us well prepared for the trip. Despite a few days of rain at the start of our trip we had an excellent time and would highly recommend this type of holiday with Carrickcraft.

The members of your team in Carrick are simply the highlight of your company. Everyone of them was very kind, helpful and customer-oriented. It was a pleasure to meet them.

This was our first time on a boating holiday and we were apprehensive enough. From booking it with Wendy, through check in and check out with Padraig it was an unbelievable experience. Padraig calmed my nerves straight away and I have to admit it ended up being one of the best family holidays we have been on. We have already planned another one for later in the year.

As well as the year before we had a wonderful time on board – just peace, quiet, picturesque little villages, breathtaking nature and the both of us. It was pure bliss.

All in all really a dream-holiday. The boats are super, your staff is nice and competent. The Irish are unbelievable friendly and a very helpul nation.
In general we felt really, really comfortable in your awesome country. Thanks a lot. We loved it. AND we will return … 🙂

We loved every moment of this trip, it was for my 50th Birthday, and I want to thank you all for your service. It was so memorable, I can’t wait to do it again next year! Everyone that we met at the marinas etc. are all very helpful, it’s such a fantastic community of people. I have been on so many holidays in the past, but I think this trip by far, is the best one so far. See you again next year! 🙂

We had a great time. We hired the cruiser to take part in the Shannon Boat Rally. Coming from Australia we were nervous about getting everything booked early so all was seamless for the specific dates. We ended up winning a few competitions and taking home some sliver (particularly first in the overseas entrant and the hire boat class from Bord na Mona), which was very exciting. Nothing was a problem with the booking and the cruiser, which made life on the river so much more pleasant. Thanks to everyone at carrick craft.

The best holiday for all ages and boating experience. The standard of the boat, staff and facilities in Carrickcraft Banagher are fantastic. Noel, Rob and the rest of the team are so professional, friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to return next year.

I’ve toured Ireland by car and rail and have never seen nor experienced the beauty or seen rural Ireland in quite the same way. Having accommodation, cooking facilities and transportation in one package (the boat) made for a very economical journey. And of course the added adventure of traveling the river by boat made it all the more memorable.
